Rissa con i coltelli in centro ad Agrigento: violenza tra immigrati

A violent clash occurred in the center of Agrigento. A fight broke out between two groups of young immigrants who caused panic in via Atenea. At least four youths were involved, and according to the testimony of some bystanders, some of them even brandished knives. Tensions rose at Porta di Ponte, where the intervention of the carabinieri was necessary. It was only with their arrival that the situation calmed down. Now, it will be necessary to determine the reasons for the clash and track down all the young people involved. The individuals are said to be one Libyan and three Tunisians, and investigations are ongoing.

Pattern of violence

This is yet another episode of violence in Agrigento. The most recent incident occurred in early January and just a few days ago ended with the arrest of two men. The police identified and detained two men at Palermo Airport, as they were attempting to flee to Belgium. They are the alleged perpetrators of a brutal attack on a 45-year-old Nigerian businessman, who has been domiciled in the City of Temples for some time. The man was demanding, quite rightly, to park his car in the reserved disabled parking space, which was occupied at that time.
