Montevergine Artecontemporanea is a new project space dedicated to contemporary visual arts. The official inauguration will take place on October 7, 2023, at 7:30 pm, at their location on via Serafino Privitera in Ortigia. The gallery’s artistic director is Marilena Vita, an acclaimed artist and curator who is a member of the AICA council in Paris. Located in the basement of a 17thion to exhibiting Marilena Vita’s works, the gallery will host collective and solo exhibitions, presentations, and discussion events on contemporary art and related phenomena. During the inauguration, visitors will have the opportunity to admire some of Marilena Vita’s paintings and photographs, including pieces from her recent successful performance “Another Love”, focused on the fight against violence against women. The exhibition will be open until November 30, Tuesday to Saturday from 11 am to 1 pm and 4 pm to 7 pm, or by appointment. This is a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the world of contemporary art and discover Marilena Vita’s versatile talent.
