Marisa Leo e Angelo Reina: Omicidio-suicidio a Mazara, tragedia familiare post-convivenza.
Marisa Leo, a 39-year-old woman who worked in marketing for a winery, was tragically killed by her ex-partner, Angelo Reina, who then took his own life. The couple had a young daughter together but no longer lived together. The incident occurred on an overpass along the A29 highway in Castellammare del Golfo. A driver passing by noticed Reina holding a gun and immediately called the police. When the authorities arrived, they confirmed Reina’s death. They also discovered weapons inside his car and began investigating their use. Information from both families led investigators to believe that Reina was planning to meet with Leo at the family-owned agricultural company. Leo’s car was found on the premises, and a search quickly uncovered her lifeless body. It was determined that she had been shot by Reina with a rifle. The investigation, led by the Mobile Squad, has left the residents of Salemi, Marsala, and Valderice devastated.
