A Gangi in Sicily, several events celebrating autumn are taking place. One of the most anticipated events is “Vivere in Assisi”, a medieval reenactment that transforms an ancient neighborhood of Gangi into Assisi in the 1200s. This historical event offers a spiritual experience of Saint Francis’ life through theater, dance, music, poetry, and more. The event is organized by the association Vivere in Assisi with the support of the Gangi municipality and various local associations. There will also be medieval taverns offering typical meals of that time period. Additionally, there will be a White Night event on October 7, featuring tastings, cabaret, music, and dancing along Via Nazionale. Another event in Gangi is the VII Agro Zootecnica Market and the First Sagra del Cinghiale Madonita to promote the local agricultural and livestock heritage. The event will include a competition of Limousine and Charolaise cattle breeds, as well as the Valle del Belice sheep breed. The market is organized by the Sant’Isidoro association with the support of the Gangi municipality and will also feature a section dedicated to Sicilian food and crafts. Various cultural events will also take place, including the presentation of Roberto Tedesco’s novel “Faride e la terra del Mito” and art exhibitions by Navarra and Santo Campanella, among others. The municipality of Gangi aims to promote tourism and increase visitors to the town through these events.
