Volkswagen Group and Enel X Way’s joint venture, Ewiva, continues to expand its presence in Italy with the opening of a new charging station in
Messina, Sicily. The station, located along the main road towards the docks, is the first highronic HPC charging columns, each with two charging points, providing a total of six stalls. The station can be accessed through various mobile apps or with the cards of major operators. Ewiva now has 23 sites in Sicily with a total of 70 charging points. CEO Federico Caleno expressed excitement about the progress of green mobility in Italy and how the partnership with local authorities has contributed to the expansion of electric mobility. The increasing number of charging stations makes electric travel more convenient and reliable.
