Zo Centro culture contemporanee in
Catania has been ranked first in the list of multidisciplinary programming organizations by the Ministry of Culture for the year 2023. The director of Zo, Sergio Zinna, expressed his satisfaction and explained that the success of Zo is even more significant as it operates on a public property and has won funding for an energy efficiency project for the building. Zo’s activities for the upcoming year include the AltreScene theater festival, which focuses on contemporary theater and storytelling. Various performances will be showcased, such as “Come una specie di vertigine. Il nano, Calvino, la libertà” and “10 Kg,” which are based on real stories and explore themes of freedom and personal identity. The festival will also feature productions inspired by literature, history, and environmental protection. The last performance of the festival will be “Felicia,” a story about animals in the forest and a witch that explores the concepts of victims and predators.
