Giovane palermitano fonda prima startup mongola di Business Angel
Francesco Cracolici, a 29-year-old entrepreneur from Palermo, Italy, has been traveling the world for the past 10 years, focusing on developing emerging markets. He believes that emerging markets offer great opportunities for investors as they are fertile ground for the creation of new startups based on validated Western models. Furthermore, Cracolici highlights that innovation in these areas can improve people’s lives. With his extensive experience in venture capital in emerging markets, he has managed three acceleration programs in three continents, including StarVenture, which supported over 200 startups that raised a total of $390 million. Cracolici has invested in startups in five continents, co-investing with notable figures such as Justin Mateen, the founder of Tinder, and Peter Thiel of PayPal. During his travels, he discovered Mongolia as a land of opportunities but lacking an innovation and startup ecosystem. Recognizing the country’s potential for economic growth, natural resources, and strategic location, Cracolici decided to establish the Nomadic Angel Club. This club, composed of around 150 international investors, aims to support local startups and contribute to the growth of the Mongolian market. Cracolici has already identified 12 startups for potential investment deals. The club’s goal is to make a significant impact in the region and everyone involved is enthusiastic about the project.
