Inizio lavori polo tecnico via Ausonia Palermo

“Within ninety days, work will begin at the technical center on Via Ausonia in Palermo.” This is the commitment made by Totò Orlando, the City’s Public Works Assessor. The council, led by Mayor Roberto Lagalla, has approved the executive project which refers to the Framework Agreement for maintenance and emergency works in the administration’s buildings.

Framework Agreement and Project Details

The framework agreement, related to the first implementable lot, involves an expenditure of one million euros allocated through the 2023-2025 Budget. The building on Via Ausonia had been repeatedly reported by trade unions for its structural deficiencies.

Previous Issues and Impact

Over the years, there have been ceiling collapses and water system breakdowns. Last summer, the offices were partially closed for several days due to air conditioning system malfunctions. The building houses offices of the Civil Protection, the Public Works department, and the Urban Planning department.
