Agrigento, in Sicily, is launching a training program for 38 fire prevention experts following a summer plagued by wildfires. The initiative, organized by the Order of Architects, will provide specialized training in fire prevention with the support of the local fire brigade. The online course, endorsed by 15 other Italian Orders of Architects, will consist of 120 hours of training. The goal is to offer new professional figures capable of providing technical advice on improving the fire resistance of buildings. Participants who successfully complete the course will be eligible to join the list of fire prevention experts maintained by the Ministry of the Interior. This initiative aims to address the shortage of qualified technicians in this field in the region. The course was organized by the Order of Architects, with the collaboration of the fire brigade and the support of the Foundation of Architects in the Mediterranean.
