Donatella Finocchiaro, Giorgio Tirabassi, and Brando De Sica will be among the guests at the twelfth edition of the
Catania Film Fest, the Festival of Independent European and Mediterranean Cinema, which will take place from November 12 to 19 in Catania, Italy. The festival, founded by Cateno Piazza and organized by Alfiere Productions in collaboration with Catania Film Festival and Zo, aims to discover and promote independent Italian and European cinema. The festival will feature over 60 films, including feature films, documentaries, and short films, from 20 European countries, divided into four competition sections. The opening film will be “L’Avamposto” by Edoardo Morabito, and there will be special events such as a focus on Albanian cinema and a tribute to Lina Wertmuller. The festival will also include Q&A sessions with actors Donatella Finocchiaro and Giorgio Tirabassi. The winners will be chosen by the Grand Jury, chaired by Carlo Sironi, and composed of twelve jurors from different areas of the film industry.
