Anffas Modica APS has concluded its second year of running a summer camp for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The initiative involved seven children who participated in daily recreational activities, such as swimming, visiting a farm, and playing games. The project aimed not only to entertain the children but also to provide relief for families during the summer break. The camp allowed children to spend their time in a fun and educational way, working on autonomy, social skills, memory, and discrimination. The president of Anffas Modica APS expressed the need for more services for children and adolescents during the summer and hoped for public support in the future to alleviate the financial burden on families. The organization plans to continue improving the camp for the next summer.
