Musicò compie impresa in solitaria da Messina a Trieste in canoa
Marco Musicò, a 63-year-old gynecologist from Palermo, is embarking on a new solo canoe journey along the coast of Italy, from Messina to Trieste. This will be his first canoe adventure in five years, as his last one was the Molokai Challenge in Hawaii. Musicò plans to paddle along the coast during the day and rest on land at night. He will leave his canoe at the destination each year and resume the journey the following year from where he left off. This trip has a special meaning for Musicò, as he will be carrying a small urn with his late brother’s ashes. His brother, with whom Musicò had his early canoeing experiences, was a veterinarian in Messina. Musicò’s previous expeditions include solo trips around Sicily and from Palermo to Genoa and Gibraltar.
