VisitAgrigento, led by President Marcello Mira, is headed to Venice to promote experiential tourism in the province of Agrigento. The International Experiential Tourism Fair esp is a unique opportunity to showcase the most interesting experiences that guides have been offering for about twenty years. It is the perfect platform to promote the Agrigento region to an international audience. Participating in the event will be an opportunity to introduce the world to a “different and unusual” Agrigento, beyond the traditional tourist routes. Buyers will have the chance to discover that our territory, in addition to the Valle dei Templi and the Scala dei Turchi, offers many other interesting attractions and opportunities. They will be able to experience various activities, from naturalistic areas to visits to mining sites, from milking Girgentana goats to visits to the Allied landing sites, from the opportunity to “live” the sea all year round to the experience of weaving a basket or preparing a “giummarra” with dwarf palm. These and many other experiences will also be presented in the context of promoting the destination in anticipation of 2025, when Agrigento will become the Italian Capital of Culture.
