Anytime Fitness, an international fitness brand that is open 24/7, is set to debut in Palermo. The gym, located on Via Roma, is currently under construction and is expected to be ready by November. The gym will feature 600 square meters of space spread over two floors, with cardio equipment on the ground floor and weight training and classes in the basement. Members will also have access to a personalized training program through an app that uses artificial intelligence. The gym will hire five people initially, with the potential for two additional hires once membership reaches its maximum capacity of 1,000. The facility will have advanced security features, including video surveillance and panic buttons that alert authorities in case of an emergency. Anytime Fitness was founded in the United States in 2002 and currently has over 5,000 clubs in 42 countries, with 39 locations in Italy. The Palermo location will be the first franchise in Sicily. The opening of the gym is part of the revitalization of Via Roma as a commercial hub. Pietro and Marina Semilia will be the owners of the new gym and hope to bring more locations to the city in the future.
