She believes that Denise bears a strong resemblance to her biological father, Pietro Pulizzi. Denise went missing in September 2004 at the age of 4. Maggio has continued her search for her daughter in Mazara del Vallo, and Pulizzi, her ex-husband, has also joined the fight. The two have been living together for years.
