I romenians Costel Balan and Gheorghe Ciprian Apetrei, have been imprisoned after being accused of the intentional murder of the Moldavian woman Vera Schiopu, who was found dead in a farmhouse in contrada Sferro between Ramacca and Paternò in Catania. The investigation was carried out by the carabinieri, under the coordination of prosecutors Alessandro Di Fede and Alberto Santisi.
