A Palermo, Italy, the XVI Cotec Europe Symposium on “Innovation in Sustainable Finance” was opened. The event, taking place at the Teatro Massimo, is the annual institutional meeting between the Foundations for Innovation of Italy, Portugal, and Spain. The Mayor of Palermo, Roberto Lagalla, opened the proceedings, followed by speeches from the President of the Sicilian Regional Assembly, Gaetano Galvagno, and the Governor of Sicily, Renato Schifani. Expected to attend are the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, the King of Spain, Filipe VI, and the President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa. The European Commissioner for Economy, Paolo Gentiloni, will also speak. Minister of University and Research, Anna Maria Bernini, is present at the Cotec Europe event. Various experts and industry representatives will discuss sustainable finance topics.
