Gasparino La Rosa, an officer in the Guardia di Finanza, is cycling from Messina to the Arctic Circle in memory of his late wife and to support cancer research. The journey is sponsored by the Guardia di Finanza and the Italian Cancer Research Foundation. La Rosa has already covered several hundred kilometers and will continue through several European countries before reaching his destination.
