Donazione organi giovane volontario Campofelice di Roccella.

Salvatore Crisanti, a 25-year-old volunteer paramedic from Campofelice di Roccella, has died after a long illness. Despite showing signs of recovery, he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage which ultimately ended his life. However, he had previously given his consent for organ donation, and his heart and liver were successfully transplanted to two patients in need. Crisanti was a sports enthusiast, particularly passionate about soccer and a devoted supporter of Juventus. His funeral will take place in Campofelice di Roccella. The director of the intensive care unit at Palermo’s Civico Hospital, Vincenzo Mazzarese, expressed sadness at the loss of a life but highlighted the importance of organ donations in saving others. This is particularly important as there is a waiting list for organs. In the past fortnight, three multi-organ donations have been carried out under the supervision of Dr. Antonino Scafidi. In one case, an emergency helicopter was needed to transport the heart to Siena due to a blocked highway caused by a fire. Mazzarese stressed that consent for organ donation can be given either personally or by the patient’s family, but the suitability of the organs for transplantation must be confirmed before the procedure can proceed.
