Anffas Modica APS has concluded its second year of managing a summer camp for children with intellectual and neurodevelopmental disabilities. The initiative involved seven children who participated in daily recreational activities such as swimming, visiting a educational farm, group games, and outings. The project aimed to provide relief for families during the summer when schools are closed and parents are still working. The camp not only kept the children entertained but also allowed them to develop social skills, memory, and discrimination abilities. Additionally, it highlighted the lack of summer services for children and adolescents in the area, and the organization hopes for public support in the future to alleviate the financial burden on families. The successful results will be used to further improve the camp next summer.
