Hello guys! it is my first shore leave travelling alone, and I discovered the beauty of Palermo!

What is Palermo Italy known for?

Palermo is the capital of the Italian island of Sicily. It is known as a cultural melting pot. You’ll find authentic Sicilian street-food and restaurants, Italy’s biggest opera house in the city. The city is home to many historic buildings that listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site.

The city is noted for its history, culture, architecture and gastronomy, playing an important role throughout much of its existence; it is over 2,700 years old. Palermo is in the northwest of the island of Sicily, by the Gulf of Palermo in the Tyrrhenian Sea.
