Andrea Lo Castro, a lawyer from
Messina, has been removed from the register of attorneys. He was sentenced to 9 years in the Beta trial, which focused on the business dealings of the
Messina branch of the Santapaola crime family. The decision to remove Lo Castro from the register was made by the President of the Messina Bar Association, Paolo Vermiglio, following a disciplinary proceeding against the lawyer.
