Salvatore and Walter Tuttolomondo, former owners of Palermo Calcio, have been ordered to stand trial on charges of fraudulent bankruptcy, improper offsetting of taxes with nons, selfh the intention of turning its fortunes around. However, the club was penalized by the Italian Football Federation for previous illicit activities under Zamparini’s ownership, resulting in their inability to move up to Serie A. To avoid the worstuation by concealing the club’s insolvency and settling tax debts with nons from another company within their group. Their attempt to register for the league was rejected due to outstanding debts and unpaid salaries, leading to the dissolution of the players’ assets. The Tuttolomondo brothers, along with several accomplices, are accused of emptying the club’s remaining assets before it was declared bankrupt. The trial is set to begin on January 17th, with the involvement of the bankruptcy trustees. The prosecution claims that the brothers, through colluding professionals, made unauthorized payments of over €200,000 to themselves and their inactive company, causing €341,600 to disappear from the club’s bank account.
